The Gadsden Job Corps Center is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Gadsden, Alabama. It is located on the Gadsden State Community College Campus and within walking distance of beautiful Downtown Gadsden with convenient shopping, eateries, and a museum. The Center houses 256 residential students in two on-campus dorms and also serves 30 local non-residential students. The Gadsden Job Corps Center is centrally located in Northeast Alabama and serves the metropolitan areas of Birmingham and Huntsville Alabama, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Atlanta, Georgia. The Gadsden Job Corps Center offers a GED program, a high school diploma through Etowah County Public Schools, and career technical training in six vocational areas. Students who qualify may attend Gadsden State Community College while enrolled in our program. The Center provides a full range of services to our students including residential dorms, medical and dental care, career and social counseling, academic and vocational training, transportation, and a living allowance. Recreational activities include on-Center arts and crafts, billiards, weight room, new gymnasium, and a variety of off-Center trips. Students are encouraged to participate in local community projects such as Habitat for Humanity and reading programs at local Day Care Centers and schools.
