IndyPendence is located in downtown Indianapolis in the historic Wulsin Building. It is within walking distance of the Monument Circle/Sailor Soldier Monument, which was dedicated in 1901. IndyPendence, a female only non-residential campus,  is a satellite location of the Atterbury Job Corps Center.

In the hub of the city, IndyPendence helps a student population of over one-hundred young ladies attain their GED or High School Diploma and learn a vocational trade in either Certified Nurses Assistant, Accounting or Office Assistant. Young ladies between the ages of 16 and 24 enjoy a chance to pursue their dreams at the IndyPendence Career Development Center. As one of a few Job Corps Centers nationally that are nonresidential only, the IndyPendence Career Development Center thrives on helping those who cannot live on-Center attain their educational goals in a business environment.

Being in the city gives IndyPendence student-employees an opportunity to utilize the surrounding community and make contacts in local companies and government agencies, often leading to full time job offers. Close to IUPUI and within commuting distance to other colleges, our student-employees can tour campuses and consider what options they have after receiving their Certifications from Job Corps. IndyPendence is proud to play an important role in helping our youth take the first step towards realizing their full potential and gaining their independence!
