The Woodstock Job Corps Center is located outside of Randallstown, MD. Woodstock houses 366 residential students and 62 non-residential students. It offers vocational training in 13 trades, a GED program, an online high school diploma program and college certification/degree programs though Baltimore City Community College. The majority of students come from Prince George’s County, Baltimore City and Baltimore County with additional students from the Maryland suburbs of D.C., Northern Virginia and Southern Pennsylvania.
Woodstock sits on 64 acres near Patapsco Valley State Park. The site was originally a Jesuit monastery, and today, retains much of its historic past. The Jesuits continue to retain ownership of the Cemetery and Mortuary Chapel. The Center collaborates with the Jesuits to maintain the cemetery grounds with Landscaping students.
Students can participate in the Student Government Association, peer leadership classes, seasonal sports teams and various student clubs. They also enjoy educational field trips, job site visits and offsite recreational activities such as shopping trips, sports events and movies. Onsite recreational offerings include arts & crafts, modeling, a workout room, a media room and a recreation room.
Students work with the Liberty Road Business Association and the Greater Patapsco Community Association, job shadow in Congressional district offices, and assist at local hospitals and assisted living facilities.
