Keystone Job Corps Center called in a favor from Harper's Ferry Civilian Conservation Center to assist with the Center's parking lot project. Kittrell Job Corps Center Culinary Arts students joined community and the faith-based agencies to help distribute food to needy families in Vance County. Malcom Sutton, Shiquanna Chapman and Breanna Smith volunteered to work alongside Southern Vance High School students for this effort. Kittrell Job Corps Center students and staff gathered in the Center’s gymnasium to commemorate the September 11th terrorist attacks. Center Director Matt Gale led a moment of silence to honor the victims and their families. Security Trade students held a Memorial Ceremony at the flag pole. Students later gathered during break and lunch to pay tribute and shared things remembered.

Kittrell Job Corps Center student Amani McManus, 21, from Charlotte, N.C. scored a 12.9 on her Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) Test for reading.
