Glenmont Meets Mayor Kathy Sheehan

Glenmont Job Corps Center's recent volunteerism brought them face-to-face with someone who has a special appreciation for community service, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan. Students Destiny Maddox and Kayla Heslop met the mayor while participating in Albany's Stop the Violence Rally. Along with other Glenmont students, Destiny and Kayla distributed fliers on nonviolent solutions and discussed Job Corps with other attendees. [...]

New Hampshire Grad Joins Elliot Hospital

New Hampshire Job Corps Center graduate Zaccari Richard landed a healthy position with Elliot Hospital. Zaccari enrolled into Facilities Maintenance in January 2017 and conducted WBL at Camper's Inn. Exeter Culinary Visits Healey Farm

Exeter Job Corps Center was down on the farm this July. The Center has established a Community Shared Agriculture program with local family owned Healey Farm to pick up 60 pounds of fresh produce weekly from July 6 through October. Kittrell Job Corps Center graduate Bissenbt Kassahun is taking the fast track to success! Bissenbt came to the U.S. from Ethiopia in January 2015 and enrolled in Kittrell in April 2015 to continue his education and improve his English. Atterbury Grad Gets IndyStar Treatment

2011 Atterbury Job Corps Center graduate Mohamed Osman Mohamed made headlines in the IndyStar. Mohamed escaped a refugee camp in Somalia in 2010 and came to Indianapolis legally with help from Exodus Refugee Immigration. Delaware Valley Carpentry Champions Callicoon County Fair

When it comes to community service, Delaware Valley's Carpentry students really nailed it this summer. The students built game booths for the Callicoon County Fair in July, including booths for balloon/dart throwing and basketball games.
