Woodstock Student Promotes Job Corps to Maryland Workforce Forum

Woodstock Job Corps Center student Tiya Townes, was selected to join a Maryland Workforce Forum panel to discuss employment and training opportunities to youth. Delaware Valley Helps Out Seniors

Delaware Valley Job Corps Center Security students volunteered at the Older Adult Transition Support's Age Out Loud event this  month. Age Out Loud is a free health and wellness fair, which includes demonstrations, interactive activities,  health screenings and presentations of art and music. Kittrell Hosts Asian Expo

As part of the Kittrell Job Corps Center's Asian History Month celebration, the Academics Department hosted an Asian Expo on May 11. Students read essays and provided presentations on Asian culture and traditions. The Expo was held in the Academics Library and showcased Asian culture, dress and food. Kittrell Supports Optimist Club

Kittrell Job Corps Center students volunteered to assist the Optimist Club with its fundraiser at 220 Seafood Restaurant on May 8. Students worked alongside Optimist Club members to prepare to-go plates, serve food and drinks, seat patrons and clean tables. Keystone Stamps Out Hunger

Keystone Job Corps Center students assisted United Way of Greater Hazleton and the National Association of Letter Carriers in the Stamp Out Hunger! Across America campaign this past weekend. Keystone Student Receives College Criminal Justice Award

Keystone Job Corps Center Advanced Career Training Student Albereta Dikibo  was recognized as a recipient of an Outstanding Criminal Justice Award from the Luzerne County Community College. Albereta received the honor during the Spring Semester Honors Luncheon. Glenmont Goes Solar

Glenmont Job Corps Center has partnered with Workforce Development Board and Hudson Valley Community College to launch pilot program to certify students as  Photovoltaic Solar Panel Installers. Eleven students have enrolled in the three-course program, which will require three months to complete.
