Exeter Job Corps Center’s Youth 2 Youth Committee members held a silent vigil on Sept. 22 for five local victims of violence. One of these students is a former Center student that was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in Providence.
Students stood behind red silhouettes representing the victims and read their background and history. The narrators then read how their lives were taken from them too soon due to violence.
It was a very emotional presentation that definitely hit home and made both staff and students realize how violence can affect every single person in the audience.
