wl_mlky2yThe National Office of Job Corps’ Marcus Gray and Curtis Massey joined Woodland Job Corps Center students during Woodland’s trip to downtown Washington, D.C. More than 80 students and six staff headed to the Capitol to participate in a Youth 2 Youth Peace Walk and form the shape of a peace sign at the Martin Luther King Jr. Monument.

Mr. Gray and Mr. Massey walked alongside students who carried Y2Y banners to the Lincoln Memorial and chanted “Y2Y All Lives Matter.”  Students later learned about the events that had taken place at the Lincoln Memorial and took the opportunity to take a closer look at it.

A BBC Cable station representative even took pictures of the group and asked questions about the event.

Overall, the event showed how today’s youth can become part of the solution for the problems in the world today!
