KE_readacrossSeveral students from Keystone Job Corps Center went to the Hazleton Integration Project (HIP) on March 2 to read to children as part of Job Corps’ “Reading to Lead” initiative.

Keystone students shared Dr. Seuss’ “Oh the Places You’ll Go” with the HIP students in both English and Spanish. After the reading was complete, HIP students were given Dr. Seuss hats along with pencils and other items to commemorate the event.

Ben Medina, HIP Executive Director, and Andrea Kolb, HIP Education Coordinator, expressed their appreciation to Keystone for providing the HIP students with both an educational and entertaining session. The HIP is a community-based effort that seeks to promote positive relationships with Hazleton’s Latino population through community activities.
