EX_reedExeter Job Corps Center students had the chance to meet some of Rhode Island’s prominent women leaders, alongside Job Corps Champion U.S. Senator Jack Reed (pictured here).

Students attended the “Nevertheless She Persisted: Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination” event on March 19 at the Providence Public Library. In addition to discussing their Job Corps experience with Sen. Reed, students spoke with several R.I. female leaders. Other panelists included Toby Ayers, Executive Director of Rhode Island for Community & Justice; Lucy Rios, Director of Prevention and Communication for the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Cheryl Burrell, Associate Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity & Opportunity at Roger Williams University.

Exeter thanks everyone who was involved in helping students participate in this important event.
