MI_lionMiami Job Corps Center’s Building Construction Technology (BCT) students are roaring with excitement over the completion of their new Center fountain.

Since February, the students have been fine-tuning their skills in wood framing, comp replacing, electrical wiring, plumbing, blueprint interpretation, hand tool usage and safety procedure implementation, as they constructed the CTST project. The original idea had been to create a seating idea, but the BCT Instructors found it too plain and wanted a more South Florida style, especially with water.

The lion symbolizes the Center’s mascot and emulates the pride that students have in their Center, said Executive Administrative Assistant Chivorne Pemberton.

Grrrreat job, Miami!
