WL_capitolWoodland Job Corps Center’s Student Government Association (SGA) recently ventured into the heart of U.S. government, with a visit to the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Representative Anthony Brown provided the Center with tickets to a guided tour that included the Crypt, Rotunda and National Statuary Hall.

SGA President Keith Haywood said he was “eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of history in the making.”

“It is so amazing to see history on so many different levels and it makes you appreciate the freedom that we have each and every day,” said student Tamara Berry.

Woodland also managed to wrangle a tour of the White House next month.
