TI_acfTreasure Island Job Corps Center Advanced Culinary Arts students Alina Heywood and Charles Anderson indulged in a full dose of greens thanks to a pair of $500 scholarships.

The American Culinary Federation awarded the scholarships for the work ethic both students displayed at their internships with Claremont Country Club and the Cliff House. Elliot Katz, Chairman of the Rotisserie de Culinair San Francisco Chapter of the Federation, presented the scholarships during a banquet at Lake Merced Golf Club. Alina and Charles prepared many of the items for the banquet, which served 100 people.

The money will go toward post-secondary education of the students’ choice.
