Not only did Exeter Job Corps Center Student Government Association (SGA) students meet with longtime Job Corps advocate, U.S. Senator Jack Reed, Advanced Culinary students got some face time with Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo.
Exeter delivered its traditional gingerbread house to the Rhode Island State House. Students assembled the house over 3 weeks.
SGA students discussed the new Student-Centered Design Initiative with Sen. Reed and boasted of their successes in the program. Sen. Reed said he is hopeful that student input will ensure that Job Corps evolves along with the changing atmosphere of the working world.
