joliet2010 Joliet Job Corps Center graduate Milton Calvin brought some sweet beats on life back to the Center.

Milton (pictured center with fellow artist Cordell Paige and Tech Support David Jordan) is a prominent gospel rap artist. He obtained his high school diploma and Cement Trade completion at Joliet while serving as Student Government Association President. Milton was homeless as a child and spent most of his life with his mother, after his father went to prison for burglary. Though his mother, who encouraged his Job Corps enrollment when he was 17, he developed a love of Christian rap, which he has used to spread positivity among those in need.

His message to students was to make a plan and stick to it without giving up.
