Students started with a tour of the Williams Hall automotive classrooms and labs. They checked out the engines class, electrical lab and the welding and fabrication classrooms. Some of the classes had some gears and transmissions on display for students to practice some hands-on work. Another special treat were the sports and performance cars on display.
They later met with employers to talk about the automotive industry and what employers look for in future workers. Their networking prospects included dealerships from all over the Capital Region and New York.
This was a great opportunity for students to see the workings of a college level automotive program so they know what they can expect if they pursue higher learning after Job Corps.
