AT_shelves2Atterbury Job Corps Center Carpentry students put their creative energies to work this week through the creation of new book shelves for the Reading 3 classroom.

With the recent arrival of new reading study resources, the Reading 3 Instructor found herself in need of new shelves to hold them. Fortunately, Atterbury’s carpentry trade answered the call. George Umbe and Van Lian from the ESL class brought the shelves from trade and installed them, while Reading 3 students Sam Simmons and Anthony Dean chose the books to be housed there for convenient use.

These excellently-crafted shelves will undoubtedly be used by hundreds of students as they work towards improving their academic skills. Atterbury gives a big shout out to the Carpentry trade.
