Chef Julie is a TV Chef on the “Yan Can Cook Show,” assistant for three of Chef Yan’s cookbooks and Chef Instructor for California Culinary Academy/Le Cordon Blue Chef Gianpaulo is the former American Culinary Federation Regional President and San Francisco Chef of the Year.
The chefs created and shared their experiences, ideas, and industry news with the Basic and Advanced Fine Dining students. The Advanced Fine Dining students prepared a Filipino style dish with Chef Gianpaulo. They made chicken adobo with jasmine rice and broccolini, finished with a sesame–soy infused red bean chili sauce. The Basic class worked with Chef Julie and made a poached salmon filet with beurre blanc sauce served over rice pilaf with a side of broccolini and braised baby carrots.
The students had an amazing meeting and were able to learn from a celebrity chef who has been all around the globe cooking for well-known people such as the 2008 U.S. Olympic team, Serena Williams, and Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom.
