Her professional demeanor and positive attitude greets all visitors and sets the tone for their time on Center. Rianna was assigned to Work-Based Learning at the Front Desk to polish her administrative skills before starting her CMA job search.
“Medical students need more administrative skills” Treasure Island internship partner, EZCare, explained during the Center’s recent Workforce Council. “It is not like the old days when you had an MA for back office and receptionists for the front. Providers are looking for one person to do it all.”
Rianna is a great example of that. She can perform blood draws, injections and check vitals AND answer a multi-line phone system, transfer calls, greet guests, and schedule appointments without even breaking a sweat. Treasure Island is very proud of the fast pace at which Rianna has picked up on these new skills.
