FG_soccerFlint Genesee Job Corps Center Security students worked as the primary security force for the Flint City Bucks soccer match at Atwood Stadium.

Students collected over $3,500 in parking fees and helped almost 5,000 fans safely enjoy Flint City’s 1-0 win over Detroit Football Club. The cadets worked so well that a number of them will be receiving trade promotions for their efforts. Students will continue to provide security and parking assistance for the Bucks inaugural season in Flint all summer long.

The students’ hard work was even recognized on social media. “The Security staff were helpful and everywhere. We felt so safe,” a Bucks fan commented on Facebook, in reference to the game.
