NH_colinpowersNew Hampshire Job Corps Center graduate Colin Powers has started his own Carpentry business.

Colin arrived at the Center in May 2018, determined to get his life and future in order. First on his list was a high school diploma and pursuing a career in Facilities Maintenance. Seven short months later,  he was living his dream. He successfully achieved his Penn Foster diploma, completed his trade and graduated from the program with a fabulous Job Training Match at a starting rate of $15 per hour.

Colin is happy to report that in addition to taking steps up that proverbial corporate ladder during the week, he and his brother have officially started a family business in Carpentry, which keeps him busy on weekends as well. Colin attributes the winning combination of a strong ‘working’ knowledge and work ethic he learned at Job Corps to his tireless quest for success. Now the
Powers Brothers are in business and to think at all began right here. Now that’s what you call “Powersful perseverance.”

Good for you Colin… you “nailed” it! Good luck in continuing to build your future.
