Jo Robbins, Board President of the Butler Township Community Garden, said of the students, “Their work was very professional as can be seen by the finished product. The beds turned out great and we are thankful for the effort of Keystone.”
The beds were constructed to provide those with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy gardening. The previous beds were 10 years old and unusable due to deterioration from the weather.
The Butler Township Community Garden is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting environmental and community sustainability through landscape-based education, demonstration and community outreach. The concept of organic gardening is practiced throughout much of the garden.
