Office Administration students helped check people into the event, while Security students assisted with crowd control and setup. For example, student David Janusweski worked with Rep. Clay to make sure companies had all the necessary documentation and helped guests find booths. Rep. Clay took time throughout the event to meet with each student.
When they were not on the clock, students also had opportunities to network with attending businesses. Student Jennifer Nast, a Security completer who is currently studying Facilities Maintenance, even applied at the National Geospatial Agency (NGA).
“These two trades will work well together at NGA. You need to know security protocols and how the building systems work,” she said.
Afterward, Rep, Clay’s staff, Samantha E. Williams mentored students on their performance. Great work, St. Louis!
