NH_cat5New Hampshire Job Corps Center Electrical students Tia Lue, Austin Salisbury and Cirell Brown were called into action to reroute several electrical lines and a CAT5 telecommunications line.

They worked on the area were Facilities Maintenance students were installing a new door that connects the One Stop classroom with the CTR Classroom. The Electrical students had to determine several existing outlets and relocate them away from the new door opening. They removed the existing TV and wall bracket with the CAT5 cable and installed new outlet boxes. The students ran new MC cable and made new splices to energize the relocated outlets.

The three rerouted three computer cables, which were in front of the new door, opening using more new junction boxes, new computer jacks, grommeted face plates and new CAT5 cable. They rewired all the outlets and punched down the relocated computer jacks, using the cable punch down tool. The students ensured all outlets and computer jacks were energized and working properly before they cleaned the area after their work and returned the room to the staff.

Kudos to my great Electrical students on a job WELL DONE!
