GR_june19gradCity of Worcester City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr. delivered a stirring keynote speech to the 88 students who graduated Grafton Job Corps Center on June 21.

Mr. Augustus encouraged graduates on their path in life, this being but the first step with success just around the corner. He told them of numerous famous people who, in their past, failed numerous times before turning the corner to success. Mr. Augustus promised the students that if they work hard and not let small failures stop them in their tracks, that they too will “turn the corner” to success as well.

Student Government Executive Board President Raheim Johnson also congratulated the graduates, wishing them well in their future endeavors, calling each his brothers and sisters. Each graduate completed one of the nine trades offered at Grafton Job Corps and proudly walked across the stage to receive their certificates of completion.

Grafton wishes the best to all of its summer graduates and urges them to keep striving to be their best selves!
