Robert was an outstanding Advanced Culinary student who embraced all six courses, learning as much as possible in each class and excelled in Front of the House skills. Robert stated that the last
class, Fine Dining, pushed him the most, as there were several stations to learn—soup and salad, prepping and cooking chicken, meat, and fish as well as plate presentations.
He was chosen for an internship assignment at the Westin St. Francis during a Chase Morgan event and impressed the staff there. In addition, he served in Student Government Association (SGA) and was chosen as Culinary Student Overall, as well as Center Wide Student of the Month.
Robert wrote to Chef Huber regarding his experience at Treasure Island, “Overall, my experience at Treasure Island was one of privilege. In addition to my training I had the honor of serving my peers in SGA. I had the opportunity to learn from chefs who are well known and the best at their trade, not to mention the people I have also had the opportunity of meeting and
connecting with have truly inspired me and given me even more skills. I can use what I have learned in the real world now, and I absolutely look forward to doing so.”
Treasure Island wishes Robert the best of luck in his naval career!
