In the Spring of 2020, Adams & Associates (Adams) conducted a survey of workforce development entities and employers to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 on the job market. Thirteen Adams-operated Job Corps Centers distributed the survey in late April to their workforce and employer partners. We received responses from nearly 200 entities.
The Workforce and Employer Partner Survey questions focused on the responders’ relationship with the Job Corps Center, hiring needs, skill needs, expectations on how long hiring practices would be impacted by COVID-19 and most wanted employability/soft skills. Adams grouped survey response analyses by Job Corps Region to provide the most useful information to our Centers. The results of the Dallas and Chicago Regions were combined to provide an equal distribution of Centers and responses.
