The Woodland Job Corps Center is located in Laurel, MD. Woodland houses 296 residential students and 4 non-residential students. It offers vocational training in 6 trades, a GED program, an online high school diploma program and college certification/degree programs through Anne Arundel Community College. Woodland also offers an Advanced Culinary Arts program through the Anne Arundel Community College. The majority of students come from the Baltimore-Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Woodland sits on 33 acres and is just a short drive from downtown Baltimore and Washington, D.C. As a result of Woodland’s close proximity to both Baltimore and Washington DC, students are often given the opportunity to participate in events happening in either of those cities. Woodland features wonderful landscaping and a college setting.

Students can participate in the Student Government Association, peer leadership classes, seasonal sports teams and various student clubs. They also enjoy educational field trips, job site visits and offsite recreational activities such as horseback riding, movies, laser tag, swimming, sporting events and museum trips. Onsite recreational offerings include arts & crafts, weight lifting, a media room and a recreational room with pool and other activities.

Students provide community service such as food services for seniors at Sun Rise Assisted Living.
